Juelp Beauty – love your bare face cleansing oil and boost your radiance reparative rosehip seed facial oil review

Hey everybody! So another K-beauty post, because we all know K-Beauty is high-key the best 🙂 This post is featuring Julep Beauty, Where you can pick up at your local Ulta store. Julep, yes the “nail polish brand” has come out with skincare and makeup within the past couple years and I must say I’m a huge fan. Their products are infused with rosehip seed which is extremely anti-aging and hydrating, this being the star ingredient of the brand.

A facial cleansing oil that melts away makeup and impurities without stripping skin. The lightweight, antioxidant-rich oil blend is formulated for all skin types.- Julep Beauty

The love your bare face hydrating cleansing oil is so fantastic, it’s almost like a spa treatment everytime you use it. I like to use this to remove my makeup, using about 4 pumps in dry hands, massaging over a dry face (Tip: you never want to wet your hands or face before using an oil cleanser. It will not work properly) This removes all traces of makeup, even waterproof mascara and leaves your skin bright, and feeling so soft. And no, it doesn’t break me out!

Key Ingredients:

Rosehip Seed Oil delivers essential nutrients to soothe, repair, and protect against environmental damage.
Grape Seed Oil delivers skin-healing benefits with potent antioxidants.
Olive Oil softens and hydrates skin without clogging pores.
Pink Grapefruit Peel Oil evens out skin tone.
Green Coffee Bean Oil invigorates skin and promotes cell turnover.

A reparative “wonder booster” that leaves all skin types radiant and hydrated. Prevents and repairs the appearance of fine lines and hyperpigmentation while regulating oil production.-Julep Beauty

Okay, I loooooove this stuff. It smells like Earl Grey Tea to me, because it contains bergamot *mmmmmmm* Just 3-4 drops of this over a dry, cleansed face is so soothing. I love using this in the colder months because I feel like it really protects my skin barrier and seals moisture in, without being greasy or heavy what so ever.

Also, if your skin is feeling really dry and tight mixing a drop of this in with your foundation will do the trick. It makes your skin look plump and glowy in all the right ways.

Key Ingredients:

Vitamin E aids in the absorption of the rosehip seed oil and protects against free radical damage with antioxidants.
Rosehip Seed Oil reduces the appearance of fine lines, scars, and hyperpigmentation.
Bergamot Oil contains brightening benefits and has natural antiseptic properties.

Korean Beauty Undereye and Lip Mask Review | SUGU Beauty | K-Beauty

Okay so we all love a good sheet mask, amirite?! I always love having a few on hand because you never know when you’re going to have that spur of the moment Self-Care Sunday (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday….You get the idea) and it’s always so great to just pull out one of these cute AF packets and slap it on your face!

I love sheet masks too because instead of a traditional mask of washing off, you usually leave the essence on and massage the excess into your skin, giving your skin an extra boost or glow hydration, or even purification. They rule. So today I was out at my local Etos and I saw this new display full of sheet masks! I seriously couldn’t decide, but instead of getting an all over face one, I decided to go with undereye patches and a lip sheet mask. I did this because I have been craving under eye patches, I LOVE doing them and I have never done a lip one!

These are by SUGU beauty, you can check out their website here: Sugu beauty and you can also shop these 2 masks there as well.

The ones I got were SUGU Awakening Under Eye Mask With Ginseng & Eucalyptus and the SUGU Hydrating Gel Lip Mask With Cherry.

Alright, So I started with the under eye masks and I noticed right away these little bitty speckles in them, Not sure what ingredient it is but these were so lovely. SUGU_review_

They were encased in this which is nice, and you would peel almost like a parchment paper off, these are super jelly and silicone feeling which is so soothing under your eyes unlike the more paper texture of some under eye masks. These felt great, actually worked by depuffing and brightening my under eyes, I will for sure repurchase again. 10/10.

Me, Before using the under-eye mask
Me after, yay!

So I know its really hard to capture the result of a product like this, but you can tell I look less tired and a little more awake. It did a great job at “flattening” out my under eyes as well, especially when I smile. I truly need to get more of these!

Now, onto the lip mask. This one I honestly did not like what so ever. It smelt like cherry medicine/candy, it would not stay on my lips AT ALL. I had to lay completely flat for the duration of the time because if I stood up, it would just slide off and fall. I eventually gave up and took it off. It actually made my lips feel drier, which is bizarre.

I could not stop laughing looking at myself with these big lips 😀

I am excited about this brand tho! Which masks do you want to try out? I want to try the Bubble Sheet Mask and the Glowing Sheet Mask With Egg!

Sunday Riley U.F.O Ultra-Clarifying Acne Treatment Face Oil Review.

You know what I think is a really cool brand? Sunday Riley. Sunday Riley is a cool brand, man. 🙂 I love how when they originally came into the beauty world, they were releasing products that stood out among other brands, from their concept to the names of products and the packaging, which I may say is very aesthetically pleasing.

I love how they have a Clarifying Acne Treatment Facial Oil, whereas most brands just throw spot treatments and drying lotions at you. This product is truly unique and I love the whole space race theme for acne skin, instead of looking clinical and problematic on your shelf, it looks cool, and makes you excited to use it, not reminding you that you indeed have problematic skin.

Okay, So the U.F.O treatment I adore. Its a green dry- face oil, (dry oil meaning it soaks into your skin without leaving much of a residue) cancels out redness and smells fantastic in an herbal way. U.F.O is said to decongest pores and even smooth out wrinkles. And if I am to be totally honest with you, I see this product in a ton of my friend’s cabinets which means it really is pretty good.

You want to use very little of this product, maybe 3-4 drops and just press it into your skin. I use to apply this at night alone, but not when I reach for it I use it over a moisturizer usually.

Key Ingredients:
Tea Tree and Black Cumin Seed Oil: help purify the skin and supports clarity
Salicylic Acid (1.5%): clears clogged pores, corrects and prevents acne and blackheads
Licorice Root and Hexylresorcinol: naturally brighten the appearance of dark spots

I found this Tip on Dermstore and thought I would share it with you, I have not tried using it this way but now I am intrigued:

Tip: Mix three to four drops of this oil into foundation before application to give hydrating, acne-fighting power to your makeup routine. Layer on top of Martian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel toner for more oily skin support. Follow with a brightening treatment, like Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream to help combat the appearance of acne discoloration. – DermStore

This oil is very soothing, and I do notice the next day my skin is more soft, less aggravated, and calm, especially if I have any spots that are really red and sore, this seems to take the inflammation down. Another plus of using this over a traditional spot treatment is that it does not dry my skin out which is awesome, because products like that just end up making the situation worse, then your skin goes into “make more oil” over-drive because your drying it out to the point where you truly are just making a big old mess of the situation, in turn, creating even worse acne, drier skin, making the red area even more red and tender.

Oil ATTRACTS Oil. Oil is fantastic for oily AND dry skin types, and there are so many benefits of using an oil-based product for your skin, especially if you have any type of skin issues because you are protecting that skin barrier and not stripping it down leaving it more exposed and open to a harsh environment.

Counterbalancing the potentially drying effects of salicylic acid, milk thistle and cucumber seed oil nourish the skin and smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles, without leaving a greasy residue. Chamomile and neroli soothe stressed, blemish-prone skin.- Beautylish

All in all, I say if you are frustrated with your current acne products to give this one a go. I have been truly happy with the product, and the results and enjoy busting this bad boy it from time to time.
